Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of the Northern Region (June 12, 1910 – January 15, 1966). On this day we remember that "the labour of our heroes past, / Shall never be in vain!" as aptly captured by our National Anthem.
