BLURB: Kyauta Saleh is a beautiful, sensual and educated young woman who is curious about how men use and abuse women. Rooted in a society where tradition is strong, she wants success, love and happiness.
But, then, Kyauta faces the threat of a forced marriage. Will her idealistic posturing, which the men of her society tried to douse, help her succeed in fending off the amorous attempts of Alhaji Hassan, who has two wives already?
Through the intricate web of this Nigerian tale, we see values and practices that nostalgically tug at our attention.
This first book resonates with mind-blowing ideas about extended family, polygamy, sex and the condition of women in Africa.
